Ruby on Rails Developer

3+ years of hands-on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze, review, and enhance existing Ruby on Rails applications Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby code using

best practices and RoR conventions

Apply knowledge of

ActiveRecord

,

ORM

, and

Rails gems

to deliver scalable features Perform

code reviews

, identify potential improvements, and debug efficiently Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, QA, product) Implement and understand RoR concepts like

Convention over Configuration (CoC)

and

scaffolding

Contribute to discussions on architecture, performance, and process improvement

Requirements:

3+ years of experience in

Ruby on Rails development

Strong grasp of

ActiveRecord

,

ORM concepts

, and when to use specific gems Experience working on pre-existing/legacy RoR codebases Ability to perform thorough

code reviews and root cause analysis

Familiar with RoR fundamentals including

CoC

, scaffolding, MVC architecture Solid understanding of

RESTful APIs

JSON

third-party integrations

Good problem-solving skills and debugging expertise Experience with Git, version control, and collaborative workflows

Nice to Have:

Exposure to front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Stimulus/Hotwire) Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, or similar tools Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Testing frameworks like RSpec or Minitest
