Job Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and reliable Steward to join our team at a restobar. The Steward will be responsible for ensuring a clean and safe working environment for our staff, as well as maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down counters, and disposing of trash.
Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and plating as needed.
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including wearing proper protective equipment and handling chemicals safely.
Help with receiving and storing food and supplies, as well as rotating inventory and monitoring expiration dates.
Assist with setting up and breaking down of dining areas, including cleaning tables and chairs, and ensuring adequate supplies are available.
Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen management or other senior staff members.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Stay up-to-date on industry trends and new products, including attending training sessions and workshops as needed.
Collaborate with bar management and kitchen staff to develop new cocktail recipes and menus.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff as needed.
Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of experience in a busy cocktail bar or similar environment.
Strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, mixology, and wine and beer service.
Ability to engage and communicate with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong cash handling and math skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bartending certification preferred.
