Effectively communicating guest orders, including any dietary restrictions or special requests, to the kitchen and other relevant staff.
Order Accuracy:
Ensuring the accuracy of all orders by verifying details, confirming special requests, and cross-checking with the kitchen before finalizing.
Coordination:
Coordinating with the kitchen and room service staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
Payment Processing:
Handling guest payments, processing transactions, and reconciling bills accurately.
Maintaining Records:
Maintaining accurate records of all orders, payments, and other relevant information.
Upselling:
Being knowledgeable about menu items and promotions, and upselling when appropriate.
Problem Solving:
Addressing guest complaints or issues related to orders, and escalating to supervisors when necessary.
Maintaining Cleanliness:
Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Following Procedures:
Adhering to all hotel policies and procedures, including those related to food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
Cash Handling:
Managing cash transactions, preparing deposits, and balancing floats at the end of each shift, if applicable.
Upselling:
Suggesting additional items or specials to enhance the guest experience.
Knowledge of Menu:
Having a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
Teamwork:
Collaborating effectively with other team members, including servers, kitchen staff, and supervisors.
