Job Description

A Room Boy/Attendant's job involves cleaning, organizing, and restocking guest rooms and public areas to ensure a comfortable stay, with core duties including making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, replenishing toiletries/minibars, and handling guest requests while adhering to hotel standards and safety rules, requiring physical stamina and customer service skills. Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning & Maintenance:

Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing furniture, sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning windows, and emptying trash.

Bed Making & Linen:

Changing bed sheets, replacing used towels, and ensuring clean linens are available.

Restocking:

Replenishing toiletries (soap, shampoo), beverages, food items (minibar), coffee/tea supplies, and hangers.

Guest Service:

Responding to guest queries, assisting with lost items, and delivering requested amenities (iron, extra pillows).

Reporting:

Notifying supervisors of maintenance issues, safety hazards, or low supplies.

Public Areas:

Cleaning corridors, stairways, and other common guest spaces.

Security & Standards:

Following hotel security guidelines, maintaining privacy, and ensuring rooms meet high cleanliness standards.
Skills & Requirements:

Experience:

Previous housekeeping or guest service experience is often preferred.

Physical:

Good stamina and ability to work in shifts.

Personal:

Honest, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.

Interpersonal:

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Knowledge:

Familiarity with cleaning equipment, products, and hygiene standards.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
