Job Description

• Able to perform train system design reviews (with minimal guidance)

• Technically competent to review the Design of most major mechanical systems such as carbody & bogie design, vehicle dynamics, pneumatics & brake system, air-conditioning, door system, coupler etc.

• Capable of engaging effectively with Contractor and Client during design workshops

• Able to verify the Contractor's design calculations and test reports

• Demonstrable ability to identify, understand and apply relevant Engineering Standards

• Knowledge of statutory approval process for Indian Metros including RDSO trials

• Can objectively assess and report on the Contractor's planning and execution of manufacturing, factory tests, trials & systems integration matters

• Able to work under own initiative to produce high quality reports and presentations

Requirements
BTech Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree (MTech or MSc preferred)

• At least 8 years of total professional experience

• At least 5 years relevant rail/metro experience

• Previous design (or design review) experience mandatory.

• General Consultant (or client organisation) experience preferred

• Excellent (written / verbal) command of English
