Robotics (STEM) Lab Technician

to support our innovation lab and STEM-based learning experiences.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Robotics (STEM) Lab Technician to assist in the setup, maintenance, and facilitation of hands-on activities in our STEM lab. You will support teachers and students in the areas of robotics, electronics, design thinking, and basic programming. This role is ideal for someone passionate about technology, education, and working with young minds.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up, test, and maintain lab equipment including robotics kits, electronics components, 3D printers, and laptops. Assist teachers in facilitating STEM and robotics activities during classes and lab sessions. Prepare lab materials and kits before each session and ensure tools are safely stored post-use. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to robotics kits (e.g., Arduino, LEGO, micro:bit, etc.). Support students in building, coding, and testing their robotics and STEM projects. Maintain inventory of lab materials and coordinate with vendors or school admin for replenishment. Ensure safety protocols are followed in the lab environment. Stay updated with emerging tools, platforms, and best practices in STEM education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Familiarity with robotics platforms such as LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or micro:bit. Basic programming knowledge (Python, Scratch, or block-based coding platforms). Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for STEM education and working with school students.

Preferred (but not mandatory):

Prior experience working in a school STEM lab or makerspace. Experience with 3D printing, CAD software, or creative prototyping tools.
