to join our manufacturing plant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining robotic systems used in automated production processes. You will collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and production personnel to ensure optimal robot performance, improve cycle times, and enhance quality and safety on the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and optimize industrial robots (e.g.,
FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa
) for various automated processes such as welding, material handling, palletizing, assembly, or painting.
Develop and edit robot programs using offline simulation and teach pendant tools.
Integrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, conveyors, and other automation equipment.
Perform system debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of robotic issues.
Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of robotic systems.
Support equipment commissioning, start-up, and production trials.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Document robot programs, maintenance activities, and changes per company standards.
Train technicians and operators on robot operation and safety.
Qualifications:
Associate or Bachelor's degree
in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Technology, or related field.
2-5 years of experience
in industrial robot programming (or relevant internship/co-op for entry-level roles).
Experience with one or more major robotic systems:
FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, or UR
.
Familiarity with PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens) and HMI interfaces is a plus.
Strong understanding of robotic safety protocols and risk assessments.
Proficient in reading mechanical and electrical schematics.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with

, or similar offline programming tools.
Knowledge of

cobots (collaborative robots)
.
Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and data integration.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, bend, and work in manufacturing environments.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.
