You will be responsible for designing curriculum, teaching interactive classes and workshops, mentoring students, and helping integrate robotics and AI into school programs. This position plays a key role in preparing students for future careers in technology and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development:
Develop and adapt age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that incorporate robotics, coding, electronics, and design principles, using tools like Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
Instruction & Facilitation:
Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on activities for students across various grade levels. Lead robotics clubs, coding sessions, and maker projects.
Learning Experiences:
Organize and facilitate robotics competitions, coding challenges, and group projects to promote problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity.
Student Mentorship:
Mentor and guide students as they explore robotics and AI concepts, providing encouragement and support in both classroom and extracurricular settings.
Professional Development:
Stay up to date with advancements in robotics, AI, and STEM education. Continuously improve instructional methods and materials.
Collaboration:
Work with school staff, administrators, and community partners to integrate robotics and AI into the broader educational experience.
Outreach & Advocacy:
Promote robotics and STEAM learning through school events, community outreach, and educational showcases. Advocate for the importance of tech education in K-12.
Evaluation & Assessment:
Assess student learning using formative and summative methods. Use results to adjust instruction and measure the impact of the program.
Qualifications:
Required:
Experience working with
Arduino
,
Raspberry Pi
, microcontrollers, and robotics kits in a teaching or educational setting.
Strong knowledge of
programming concepts
(Scratch, Python, C/C++) and hands-on hardware integration.
Demonstrated ability to teach and engage students at various skill levels, ideally in a K-12 or after-school environment.
Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree
or higher in Robotics, Mechatronics, Engineering, Computer Science, Education (STEM-focused), or a related field.
Prior experience designing robotics curricula or leading student teams in robotics competitions (e.g., FIRST, VEX, Arduino challenges).
Familiarity with AI tools and educational platforms is a plus.
