Job Description

Job Summary:The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and closing deals. The role requires strong communication, relationship-building, and market research capabilities to establish partnerships with schools, colleges, CSR partners, NGOs, and other educational ecosystem stakeholders. The BDM will work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth proposal delivery, negotiations, and post-closure coordination.Key Responsibilities:Lead Generation & Prospecting- Identify and qualify potential clients including schools, colleges, training institutes, CSR partners, NGOs, government bodies, and educational consultants.- Conduct market research to map target institutions, segments, and decision-makers.- Develop outreach strategies through calls, emails, social media, events, and field visits.- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline from prospecting to conversion.Sales & Closure- Conduct product demos, presentations, and solution walkthroughs to stakeholders.- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable robotics/STEM programs, workshops, labs, and CSR solutions.- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, and project plans.- Lead negotiations, handle commercial discussions, and drive contracts to closure.- Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and conversion targets.Relationship Management- Maintain long-term relationships with clients, academic institutions, CSR and NGO partners.- Act as a primary point of contact for all client communication until onboarding.- Collaborate with academic, operations, and delivery teams for seamless project execution.Marketing & Collaboration- Support marketing efforts for events, exhibitions, webinars, and outreach campaigns.- Provide feedback to product and curriculum teams based on market demand and competition insights.- Prepare sales reports, customer intelligence, and performance dashboards for management review.Required Skills & Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).- 2-5+ years of experience in Business Development or B2B Sales (Ed-Tech/CSR/STEM field is a plus).- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.- Ability to handle end-to-end sales cycle (lead to closure).- Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and online communication platforms.- Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.- Willingness to travel for client meetings, events, and partnerships as required.
