Job Description

A Cement Concrete (CC) Road Engineer designs, plans, and supervises the construction and maintenance of durable, high-quality concrete road infrastructure. Key responsibilities include conducting site investigations, creating structural designs using AutoCAD/Civil 3D, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and overseeing material quality and curing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Planning:

Prepare detailed road, pavement, and drainage designs, including structural calculations, drawings, and, in some cases, 3D models.

Site Management:

Oversee on-site activities, including excavation, base preparation, formwork installation, concrete pouring, and finishing to maintain precise line and level.

Quality Control:

Supervise material testing (concrete strength, aggregate quality) and ensure proper curing procedures are followed to prevent premature cracking.

Project Management:

Manage project schedules, budgets, and, for some roles, resource allocation and subcontractor coordination.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all construction regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety requirements.

Reporting:

Monitor project progress, compile status reports, and prepare technical documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Proven experience in road construction, specifically with pavement design and concrete technology.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and relevant design software.

Soft Skills:

Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
