Job Description

The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will be responsible for providing 24/7 inpatient care, including clinical assessments, management, and emergency medical response under the supervision of consultants. The RMO ensures patient safety, coordinates with the healthcare team, and adheres to hospital protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide round-the-clock medical care to inpatients. Monitor patient condition, review charts, and update treatment plans. Respond promptly to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate care. Perform and document clinical assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Liaise with consultants, nursing staff, and other departments for patient care. Ensure timely ordering and follow-up of investigations and interventions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records. Adhere to infection control and patient safety protocols. Counsel patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress. Assist in the admission and discharge process. Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (varies with hospital).
