Role Overview

We are seeking an

RMC Lab Technician

to oversee material and concrete testing for our

in-house batching plant

catering to

Mivan formwork-based high-rise projects

. The role ensures that the concrete mix consistently meets strength, durability, and workability requirements for fast-track construction.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Testing

Test cement, fine and coarse aggregates, water, and admixtures as per IS standards. Maintain records of grading, moisture correction, and specific gravity for batching adjustments.

Concrete Testing & Monitoring

Perform trial mixes and support design mix optimization for Mivan requirements. Conduct fresh concrete tests (slump, flow, temperature, setting time, air content). Cast and test cubes/cylinders for compressive strength (early strength at 3, 7 days and final at 28 days). Monitor mix consistency during high-volume pours for Mivan shuttering.

Plant & Lab Coordination

Support batching plant operator with real-time moisture adjustments in aggregates. Ensure calibration and upkeep of all lab and plant testing equipment. Verify that production follows approved mix designs and ITP (Inspection & Test Plan).

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain daily concrete test registers and raw material test records. Prepare reports/certificates for client and consultant approval. Ensure compliance with IS codes (IS 383, IS 456, IS 516, IS 10262) and project specifications.

Requirements

Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or any related field. 1-3 years of experience in RMC plant QC (experience in

Mivan / high-rise projects

preferred). Strong knowledge of IS standards for concrete testing. Familiar with admixtures used for high workability and early strength.

Preferred Skills

Ability to work under

fast-track project timelines

. Knowledge of

self-compacting concrete (SCC)

and early strength mixes. Coordination with site and QA/QC engineers for immediate corrective actions. Good documentation and reporting skills.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per month
