  • Provide operational risk guidance and analysis for new business/products/initiatives
  • Identify, assess and advise strategic solutions to increase efficiency and create a more resilient operating environment
  • Ensure effectiveness of key controls and lead communications with regulatory and audit bodies, both internally and externally
  • Oversee governance of business operational risks, escalating issues appropriately to line of business and Firmwide operating committees
  • Collaborate with senior business clients and partners across functional areas (e.g., Legal, Finance, Compliance, Risk) and geographies

You Bring:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience; financial services industry or background in Process Improvement or Risk Management preferred
  • Proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • A curious mind that prefers to go deep to understand details
  • A positive attitude and team spirit with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills

Areas of Support:

As part of the AWM Operations Control Management organization, you have an opportunity to explore roles in the following areas:
  • Chief Data Office : A Control Manager role to support the AWM Chief Data Office organization (AWM CDO) Data Governance and Business Aligned CDO Team members. The AWM CDO Data Governance team is responsible for implementing and governing the Global Data Risk Management policy which includes Data Quality, Data Use, Data Protection, Data Retention and Data Destruction risks across AWM. The Business Aligned CDO team i) ensure adoption and provide Data Strategy and Governance at a business/jurisdictional level, ii) execute Product Owner, Data Owner and Data Domain owner responsibilities, and iii) provide business vision and deliver prioritized projects.
  • Asset & Wealth Management Governance and Reporting is a value-add organization that oversees AWM Operations-wide control programs that impact the various businesses under the AWM umbrella. From providing critical analysis reporting, to executing regulatory mandates or establishing new control frameworks, the governance team plays an integral role in managing risk by facilitating solutions to complex problems that is not confined to one sub-line of business.
  • Issue Management is responsible for designing and validating action plans and consulting on control design and performance evaluations to confirm examiner-identified issues are fully addressed prior to closure; perform process and control walkthroughs to identify control weaknesses; gather issue management insights/trends to socialize lessons learned including developing training materials.
  • Control Managers/Officers will support the AWM Risk and Control mission in maintaining a strong and consistent control environment by providing comprehensive coverage of the control environment that promotes early operational risk identification and assessment, effective design and evaluation of controls and sustainable solutions to mitigate operation risk. A Control Manager\'s main focus is control design and testing expertise, risk and control identification and assessment management, control break and resolution management, control governance and reporting and leading our audit & regulatory response efforts for a specific process or function.
  • Project Manager takes responsibility and accountability for delivering all elements of a series of projects - associated with business & strategy for completion of all requirements as part of agreed milestones. PM will lead the crafting and execution of project plans for all business projects along with tracking and reporting. Project Manager would collaborate with all stakeholders and impacted parties to meet the deliverables and guide the execution team for meeting the timelines, call out any risk or dependency that would derail the project. Depending on project scale and complexity, the PM may lead several projects simultaneously
