About the Role:



The Rifle Shooting Coach will design, lead, and manage the school's rifle shooting program, fostering excellence, discipline, and sportsmanship among students. The coach will provide expert training in air rifle and small-bore shooting disciplines, ensure safety compliance, and guide students to compete successfully in inter-school, national, and international competitions.

What you will be doing:



Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, rules, and regulations for all shooting activities.

Develop individualized training plans to improve students' technical, tactical, and mental performance.

Prepare and guide the school shooting team for competitive events at different levels.

Plan and conduct regular training sessions tailored to various skill levels (beginner to advanced).

Oversee the maintenance and proper use of shooting range facilities and equipment.

Conduct safety briefings and drills regularly.

Promote shooting sports as part of the school's athletic and co-curricular program.

Organize inter-house and inter-school shooting competitions.

Collaborate with the PE department to integrate shooting into broader sports programs.

Foster discipline, focus, and responsibility among students.

Provide mentorship on goal setting, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Encourage student participation in regional and international shooting events.

Maintain records of student performance, attendance, and achievements.

Manage equipment inventory and requisition supplies as needed.

Liaise with parents, staff, and external sports organizations as required.

Who we are looking for



Qualifications & Requirements



Bachelor's degree in physical education, Sports Science, or related field (preferred).

Certified Rifle Shooting Coach (from a recognized national/international sports federation).

Proven experience coaching school-aged athletes in rifle shooting.

Strong knowledge of shooting range safety protocols and equipment handling.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and manage students with diverse skill levels and backgrounds.

(Optional) Experience preparing students for ISSF or national-level competitions.

Physical fitness



Must exemplify high standards of physical fitness, serving as a role model for students.

Should be capable of stepping in for all sports and PE activities as needed.

Medical fitness



Must possess medical fitness to effectively carry out responsibilities, maintain classroom discipline, and ensure the safety of all students.
