This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Revenue Manager in India.
In this role, you will oversee and optimize revenue recognition processes across multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Legal, and Operations to analyze contracts, implement process improvements, and support strategic financial decision-making. This position offers high visibility and impact, as you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence while maintaining compliance with accounting standards. You will manage large data volumes, perform analytics, and provide guidance on revenue-related issues, contributing directly to the company's financial health and growth. The role provides opportunities to implement new solutions, mentor team members, and participate in key audits and strategic projects, all within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Accountabilities

• Oversee all accounting aspects of revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Analyze customer contracts, evaluate revenue impacts, and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Operations teams to review deal structures and ensure accurate revenue recording.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end revenue close processes, including reconciliations, fluctuation analysis, and reporting.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Support implementation of new revenue accounting requirements, including ASC606 compliance.
• Prepare data and documentation for audits and internal reviews.
• Guide and mentor team members in revenue management processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CA/CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in a public company environment, preferably with Big 4 accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of multi-element revenue recognition and accounting standards (ASC 605-25, SAB 104, ASU 2009-13/14, ASC606).
• Experience with License, SaaS, OEM, and Professional Services contracts.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, SFDC, and NetSuite is a plus.
• Expertise in analyzing large volumes of data and applying analytics to revenue processes.
• Proven ability to collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Solutions-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
