What role you will play in our team
A Scrum Master is responsible for guiding and coaching teams in the effective application of Scrum and Agile methodologies. They act as a servant leader, ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum principles and practices to deliver high-quality products. Key responsibilities include:
Facilitating Scrum Events: Organizing and leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Removing Obstacles: Identifying and resolving impediments that hinder the team's progress
Coaching and Mentoring: Providing guidance to team members on Agile practices and fostering a collaborative environment
Ensuring Transparency: Maintaining clear communication channels between the team and stakeholders
Monitoring Progress: Using tools like burndown charts and Scrum boards to track the team's progress and performance.
Job location is based out of Bangalore, Karnataka
What you will do
The Scrum Master should work toward becoming a professional facilitator and not just the person who runs the meetings
The Scrum Master coaches and encourages the team to keep the status of their work current and accurate in ADO
Helps the team understand why work execution metrics are important and how they can be used to improve the overall performance of the system of delivery
Encourage the team to resolve problems together and without outside intervention
Relentlessly remove barriers with an understanding the team needs to take on impediments as well
Allow the team to fail, but fail small and allow the team to recover and ultimately learn from failure
Take a pragmatic approach and meet the team where they are at in their transformation journey
Encourage the team to take a team-first attitude that is always focused on delivering quality results
Must be able to work independently (due to time zone difference)
About You
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in fields like Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working as Scrum master
Experience coordinating or leading teams
Basic understanding of Scrum framework, Agile methodologies, and their application along with SAFe Agile certifications
Skills to coach team members and stakeholders in Agile practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Ability to effectively facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure clear and effective interaction with team members and stakeholders
Proficiency in resolving conflicts and removing impediments that hinder the team's progress
Ability to lead by example, empower the team, and promote self-management
Certified ScrumMaster/ SAFe Agile certification
