About the Role
We're seeking a grounded, heart-centered
Retreat Host & Spiritual Guide
to co-lead select Smukti retreats in India and Europe. This is a
freelance role
suited to someone who embodies spiritual practice, has hosting or teaching experience, and feels called to hold space for transformative group journeys.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a compassionate, present guide for retreat participants
Open and close daily circles with grounding presence
Co-lead sessions in yoga, meditation, or spiritual reflection (as per your background)
Offer insights or short talks on Indian philosophy, Ayurveda, or Bhakti where relevant
Support logistical flow of the retreat alongside our core team
Help foster a welcoming, safe, and spiritually nourishing group container
Who You Are
You're not just a teacher--you're a practitioner. You lead with humility, warmth, and intuitive presence.
Required:
Background in one or more of the following:
Yoga
(RYT 200/500 preferred)
Ayurveda
(basic practitioner or deep personal study)
Bhakti practices
(chanting, kirtan, puja, or storytelling)
Indian philosophy
(e.g. Vedanta, Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita)
Prior experience hosting or co-leading retreats, workshops, or community events
Excellent interpersonal presence and group facilitation skills
Comfort with international and intercultural groups
Preferred:
Yoga TTC certification (200hr+)
Experience living or traveling in India
Familiarity with conscious travel, eco-retreats, or ashram life
EU/UK or US-based with the ability to travel to India or Europe
