Position Title: Project Management Consultant (Retired Professional)

Position Overview:
We are seeking highly experienced and seasoned Project Management Consultants with strong experience in pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry to support our precision fermentation project. A retired professional who possesses deep domain expertise in managing Greenfield Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology projects including overseeing civil, mechanical, electrical, and utility design, construction, installation, commissioning and operations. This role is ideal for a retired professional who brings hands-on expertise in managing construction, engineering coordination, project teams, and regulatory-aligned project delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
o Oversee and guide civil, mechanical, electrical (CME), and utility infrastructure activities for new or upgraded production projects.
Lead project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution from design through commissioning and handover.
Coordinate and supervise contractors, architectural/engineering consultants, and vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery.
Review engineering drawings, layout plans, specifications, and project documentation for accuracy and alignment with GMP and safety standards.
Review project sites to track progress, quality of work, and compliance with schedules and budgets.
Identify project risks, bottlenecks, and deviations; propose and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with Operations, QA, QC, EHS, and Engineering teams to ensure project readiness and alignment with site strategy.
Support process improvement initiatives related to facility design, workflow, utilities, and construction execution.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project engineers, site supervisors, and cross-functional team members.
Ensure project-related regulatory, safety, and GMP requirements are understood and met.
Prepare and review project reports, progress updates, and documentation required for governance and compliance.
Ensure vendor qualification, equipment procurement decisions, and coordination of IQ, OQ, PQ, and commissioning activities.
Ensure effective communication with internal teams, contractors, and leadership to maintain clarity on project goals, schedules, and deliverables.
Support management in implementing project execution strategy and resolving cross-functional issues.
Process engineering and process improvement capabilities would be an added advantage.
Perform special project assignments as required by the management.
o Bachelor's / Master's Degree / Ph.D in in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
25+ years of experience in in managing industrial, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology projects.
Proficiency in Malayalam is mandatory to communicate effectively.* Strong understanding of utilities, cleanroom construction, GMP facility requirements, HVAC, process piping, and equipment installation.
Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budgets, contractors, and cross-functional coordination.
Knowledge of regulatory, safety, and quality standards applicable to GMP manufacturing environments.
Process engineering and process improvement capabilities would be an added advantage.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently as a consultant while supporting diverse project teams.
