The Store Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the retail outlet -- ensuring smooth functioning of the store, maintaining inventory accuracy, leading and motivating the sales team, and delivering excellent customer service. The role requires a hands-on, energetic individual who can balance operational efficiency with a customer-friendly approach.
Key Responsibilities1. Store Operations & Sales
Oversee daily store activities, including opening/closing, cash handling, and cleanliness.
Achieve monthly sales targets and implement strategies to increase footfall and conversions.
Ensure product displays, signage, and stock arrangements are attractive and consistent with brand standards.
Maintain good relations with walk-in customers and handle complaints promptly and courteously.
2. Staff Management
Supervise and motivate sales and support staff to maintain high performance standards.
Prepare staff rosters, monitor attendance, and ensure punctuality.
Conduct regular team meetings and on-the-job training sessions.
Support in hiring and onboarding new team members when required.
3. Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain optimal stock levels and coordinate with warehouse/purchase teams for replenishment.
Conduct regular stock checks and prevent losses due to expiry, pilferage, or damage.
Ensure proper documentation for inward and outward stock movement.
Keep records updated in POS / billing software.
4. Customer Service
Greet and assist customers with product knowledge, recommendations, and billing support.
Build relationships with regular customers and encourage loyalty.
Ensure quick resolution of customer queries and maintain feedback records.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Submit daily sales, expense, and stock reports to Head Office.
Ensure compliance with all store policies, hygiene, and safety norms.
Coordinate with accounts, HR, and logistics teams for smooth operations.

Basic computer knowledge (Excel, billing/POS software).
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Education
Graduate in any discipline.
Diploma or certification in Retail Management is an added advantage.
