About the Role:
As a
Retail Solutions Sales Engineer
, you'll serve as both a trusted technology advisor and a sales expert. You'll partner with corporate clients to understand their operational challenges, design tailored hardware/software solutions, with the goal to create sustainable and consistent profitability. Your deep technical knowledge and consultative approach will drive adoption of tools like IoT devices, inventory automation systems, POS platforms, Inventory shrinkage prevention solutions and AI-driven analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Consultative Selling:
Diagnose client pain points in retail operations and propose solutions that align and improve their business goals.
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrate how integrated hardware-software systems (e.g., smart shelves, cloud-based ERP, RFID tracking) optimize efficiency and ROI.
Client Education:
Train clients on maximizing product value, ensuring smooth implementation and long-term success.
Pre- & Post-Sales Support:
Collaborate with engineering teams to customize solutions and provide post-sales troubleshooting.
Corporate Relationship Building:
Cultivate trust with C-suite stakeholders, IT teams, and procurement departments.
Market Insight:
Stay ahead of trends (e.g., automated retail, omnichannel integration) to position our solutions as industry-leading.
Travel:
Visit clients across India for workshops, demos, and strategic reviews (25-40% travel).
Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree (any discipline);
preference for Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields
.
Experience:
2+ years in technical sales, preferably selling retail/industrial applications (e.g., POS systems, warehouse automation, IoT).
Proven track record of managing corporate accounts and closing enterprise-level deals.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of retail/industrial tech stacks (hardware + software integration).
Familiarity with APIs, cloud platforms, and data analytics tools.
Bonus: Certifications AWS, or IoT solutions.
Soft Skills:
Ability to simplify complex tech concepts for non-technical audiences.
Client-first mindset with a passion for problem-solving and long-term partnerships.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Kannada/Hindi is a plus.
