The Outlet Supervisor / Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the bakery cafe -- ensuring smooth customer service, sales performance, cash management, staff coordination, and compliance with hygiene and quality standards.
The role requires a hands-on professional who can also manage billing and cashier duties during peak hours or in lean staffing situations.
Key Responsibilities:Operations & Supervision
Oversee day-to-day outlet operations including counter service, dine-in, takeaway, and deliveries.
Supervise counter staff, barista (wherever applicable), and housekeeping team to ensure quality service and teamwork.
Plan staff schedules, monitor attendance, and manage shift handovers.
Ensure timely opening/closing of the outlet and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Sales & Cashiering
Manage the billing counter and operate POS systems when required.
Handle cash, card, and UPI transactions responsibly; maintain accurate daily cash reconciliation.
Track daily sales, targets, and prepare end-of-day reports.
Upsell premium products, beverages, and combo offers to enhance revenue.
Customer Service
Greet and assist customers; address feedback or complaints professionally.
Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
Monitor product display and ensure freshness and availability of bakery items.
Inventory & Coordination
Track stock levels and coordinate with the central kitchen or suppliers for replenishment.
Conduct daily/weekly stock audits for perishables, packaging, and consumables.
Monitor wastage and implement cost-control measures.
Ensure all assets available at the outlet including Display Counters, Vending machines, Refrigerators, CCTV cameras, POS machines, Tablets, Mobile phones, Signages, Lighting, Fans, Air conditioners, etc. are accounted for and maintained in proper condition and to coordinate with the Head Office or designated vendors to ensure their upkeep.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure hygiene, safety, and FSSAI compliance across the outlet.
Maintain staff discipline, grooming, and adherence to company policies.
Submit daily sales, cash, and expense reports to management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Graduate / Diploma in Hotel Management, Bakery Management, or Business Administration preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years in retail food service, bakery, cafe, or QSR environment; at least 1 year in a supervisory or cashiering role.
Language: Malayalam and English essential; Hindi an advantage.
Proficiency in POS systems, Excel, and cash handling.
