Operations & Warehouse Manager
to run back-end logistics and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
Role Overview
You'll be responsible for managing the store's back-end operations including warehouse inventory, in-store stock flow, e-commerce order fulfillment, vendor coordination, and system updates. This is a critical role ensuring that products move efficiently from our warehouse to the customer--whether that customer is shopping online or walking into the store.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
Oversee warehouse operations - receiving, storing, organizing, and dispatching inventory.
Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical audits.
Tagging, barcode scanning, and SKU-level organization.
Coordinate inward stock from partner brands and maintain GRNs.
Monitor aging stock, returns, damages, and non-moving inventory.
E-commerce & Order Fulfillment
Manage daily packing and shipping of online orders from platforms like
Shopify, Amazon, Nykaa Fashion, etc.
Coordinate with courier partners for timely pickups and deliveries.
Update order statuses, generate shipping labels, and handle returns/exchanges.
Work closely with the e-commerce and customer service team to meet SLAs.
Retail Store Operations
Ensure timely restocking of products from the warehouse to the shopfloor.
Support the sales team in stock availability, product movement, and VM changes.
Assist in store inventory audits and seasonal stock shifts.
Vendor & Logistics Coordination
Liaise with brand partners for stock arrivals, PO tracking, and return shipments.
Track and reconcile inward stock vs. purchase orders and invoices.
Negotiate and manage relationships with delivery/logistics partners.
Reporting & Process Optimization
Maintain daily MIS reports for stock, sales vs. inventory, order status, etc.
Identify and implement process improvements in storage, dispatch, and stock flow.
Work with the founder to digitize inventory workflows and integrate systems.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse/inventory/e-commerce operations.
Familiarity with Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, or similar platforms.
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
Basic knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and inventory software.
Ability to manage a small team of helpers or warehouse staff.
Good communication and accountability skills.
Nice to Have
Experience in fashion/lifestyle brands or multi-brand setups.
Understanding of ERP or POS systems.
Worked in both D2C and marketplace e-commerce formats.
