The Retail Operations Manager - Jewellery is responsible for overseeing day-to-day retail operations across jewellery stores to ensure operational excellence, sales growth, brand standards, and exceptional customer experience. This role focuses on store performance, inventory control, compliance, staff productivity, and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of luxury retail and security.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Performance
Oversee daily operations of multiple jewellery retail stores
Ensure smooth store functioning, adherence to SOPs, and brand guidelines
Monitor store KPIs including sales, conversion, ATV, inventory turns, and shrinkage
Drive operational efficiency to maximize profitability
Sales & Customer Experience
Support store teams in achieving sales targets and business goals
Ensure superior customer service aligned with luxury jewellery standards
Implement initiatives to improve customer engagement and loyalty
Handle escalated customer issues and ensure satisfactory resolution
Inventory & Stock Management
Oversee inventory planning, stock availability, and replenishment
Ensure accurate stock records, audits, and cycle counts
Manage high-value jewellery inventory with strict security protocols
Minimize losses, damages, and pilferage
Team Management & Training
Supervise, coach, and support Store Managers and sales teams
Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and productivity
Identify training needs and coordinate product, sales, and compliance training
Drive performance management and employee engagement
Compliance & Security
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and audit requirements
Maintain strict security measures for high-value merchandise
Coordinate store audits, safety checks, and risk mitigation
Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
Ensure consistent visual merchandising and display standards across stores
Coordinate store openings, renovations, and seasonal changes
Maintain brand image and luxury presentation
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and review operational and sales reports
Analyze trends and recommend corrective actions
Provide insights to senior management for strategic decisions
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field
2-3 years of retail operations experience, preferably in jewellery or luxury retail
Experience managing multiple store locations
Strong understanding of jewellery retail operations, inventory control, and security
Skills & Competencies
Strong leadership and people management skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of jewellery products, gold/diamond handling, and compliance
Strong communication and stakeholder management
High attention to detail and operational discipline
