Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Retail Manager
to lead our retail operations across India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all retail showrooms and related teams, driving sales and customer experience, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring strong alignment between the retail, marketing, and backend support functions.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Operations Management:
Oversee day-to-day functioning of all Gulmohar Lane showrooms across India, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and smooth customer experiences.
Sales & Revenue Growth:
Drive retail sales targets through effective team performance management, local marketing initiatives, and client relationship strategies.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate showroom managers and sales teams; ensure regular training and performance reviews.
Business Development:
Identify opportunities for new store openings, expansion, and improvement in existing store performance.
Customer Experience:
Maintain brand standards and ensure every customer interaction reflects Gulmohar Lane's luxury experience.
Coordination with Support Functions:
Collaborate with marketing, logistics, design, HR, and finance teams to ensure cohesive retail functioning.
Reporting & Analytics:
Track sales data, footfall, conversion ratios, and inventory performance; share actionable insights with management.
Process Improvement:
Implement best practices in retail operations, including SOPs, training modules, and customer feedback systems.
Desired Candidate Profile
Graduate or Postgraduate, preferably in Retail Management / Business Administration.
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in premium or luxury furniture, home decor, or lifestyle brands.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
Analytical mindset with experience in sales reporting and operational metrics.
Ability to travel as required for store visits and audits across India.
High sense of ownership, attention to detail, and alignment with brand aesthetics.
