Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Cashier

to manage the billing and payment processes at our kids' retail store. The ideal candidate should have strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent customer service abilities to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing and Payment Handling:

Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to handle cash, credit, and digital payments. Process customer purchases and ensure accurate billing.

Customer Interaction:

Greet and assist customers with billing inquiries. Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing and payments.

Cash Management:

Maintain the cash drawer balance and ensure all cash transactions are accounted for. Prepare end-of-day financial reports and reconcile cash/credit transactions.

Inventory and Reporting:

Update and maintain sales records in the store's system. Use Microsoft Excel to generate daily/weekly reports for sales, inventory, and cash flow.

Compliance and Security:

Adhere to company policies regarding transaction processing and data confidentiality. Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).

Experience:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in cashiering or retail operations. Experience with retail POS systems and basic inventory management.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, basic reports). Familiarity with email and other basic computer applications.
