Job Summary

The Accountant will manage daily financial transactions, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations. This role supports the finance team with accurate record-keeping, reconciliations, and audit preparations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update accounting records including ledgers, journals, and general ledger entries. Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions. Prepare and post journal entries for financial transactions. Conduct bank and account reconciliations to resolve discrepancies. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities and financial statement preparation. Support tax filings, including GST, TDS, and income tax returns. Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits. Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend improvements. Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve financial queries. Generate regular financial reports for management review.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial or corporate environments. Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling. Good analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
