Position Overview

The

Waiter

plays a key role in delivering Artjuna's signature guest experience by providing friendly, efficient, and attentive service. The position requires excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and a passion for hospitality in a high-volume cafe environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

Greet and seat guests promptly with a welcoming attitude. Present menus, make recommendations, and take accurate food and beverage orders. Ensure guests' needs are met throughout their dining experience. Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service.

Order Management

Input orders accurately into the POS system (Petpooja). Serve food and beverages according to Artjuna's service standards. Handle bills, payments, and ensure accurate table settlements.

Operational Responsibilities

Set up and clear tables before and after service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area. Follow hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards. Support team members during peak hours to ensure smooth operation.

Guest Relations

Build rapport with regular customers and assist new guests in understanding Artjuna's menu. Handle guest feedback with professionalism and escalate issues to the manager when required.

Requirements

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a busy restaurant or cafe environment. Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi/other languages is a plus). Familiarity with POS systems (Petpooja preferred). Positive attitude, team player, and high level of personal hygiene. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualities

Passion for food, coffee, and customer interaction. Punctual, reliable, and proactive in daily operations. Understanding of Mediterranean or healthy cafe-style service will be an advantage.
