Role Overview
As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests. Your role involves welcoming guests with warmth, managing reservations and waitlists, coordinating table allocations, and ensuring smooth guest flow throughout the service. You set the tone for the dining experience and play a crucial part in creating a seamless environment on the floor.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and welcome guests with professionalism and warmth
Manage reservations, seating charts, and waitlists efficiently
Coordinate guest flow between the floor, service team, and kitchen
Communicate wait times accurately and manage expectations
Escort guests to tables and provide initial menu guidance if needed
Handle guest queries, special requests, and concerns calmly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation at the host desk and entry area
Assist in managing large bookings, special occasions, and walk-ins
Support the service team with guest coordination during peak hours
What We're Looking For
1-3 years of experience in a host/hostess or guest relations role (preferred)
Calm, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Guest-focused mindset with attention to detail
Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations
Professional appearance and a welcoming, composed presence
Familiarity with reservation systems is an advantage
A team player who contributes to creating a positive dining atmosphere
