Job Summary: The F&B Captain is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the service staff, ensuring that guests receive high-quality service and satisfaction. They act as a link between the service team and kitchen, maintaining smooth operation of the restaurant or dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and assist service staff during meal periods.
Ensure guests are welcomed, seated, and served promptly and courteously.
Coordinate with the kitchen for timely food service and order accuracy.
Check table settings, cleanliness, and readiness before service.
Handle guest complaints and special requests efficiently.
Train and guide waiters and stewards on service standards.
Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
Manage table reservations and seating arrangements.
Maintain inventory of cutlery, crockery, and service equipment.
Assist in billing and cash handling when required.
Report daily operations, guest feedback, and issues to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or equivalent.
2-4 years of F&B service experience (with at least 1 year in a supervisory role).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and team management abilities.
Sound knowledge of food and beverage menus, service techniques, and wine.
Job Summary: The F&B Steward ensures cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Responsible for cleaning dishes, utensils, and equipment, and assisting in maintaining overall kitchen and service support operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes.
Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen, back area, and service stations.
Assist in receiving and storing supplies properly.
Handle and operate dishwashing machines safely.
Dispose of garbage and waste according to sanitation standards.
Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
Support chefs and service staff during operations as needed.
Follow all safety, hygiene, and sanitation policies.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of stewarding areas.
Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school education or equivalent.
Prior experience as a steward or utility worker in hospitality preferred.
Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
