Key Responsibilities
:
Supervise and guide waiters and service staff during daily operations
Welcome and seat guests, present menus, and assist with food recommendations
Take orders accurately and ensure proper coordination with the kitchen
Monitor table service and ensure high standards of hospitality and hygiene
Handle customer feedback, complaints, and resolve issues promptly
Train and support new service staff if required
Ensure tables are properly set and cleaned before and after each guest
Maintain daily service reports and communicate with the restaurant manager
Upsell menu items to boost sales (specials, desserts, beverages)
Requirements
:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Captain in a restaurant
Good knowledge of table service and customer interaction
Strong leadership and team coordination skills
Polite, presentable, and customer-focused
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of vegetarian or regional cuisine is a plus
Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Education
:
12th Pass or Diploma in Hotel Management preferred
