Curry and Hops is seeking an experienced and service-oriented

Captain

to oversee daily

front-of-house operations

in our restaurant cum brewery. The Captain will be responsible for supervising service staff, ensuring excellent guest experience, coordinating with the kitchen and brewery teams, and maintaining service standards during shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and lead FOH staff during service hours Ensure smooth table service, order accuracy, and timely delivery Welcome guests, assist with seating, and handle guest queries and concerns professionally Coordinate closely with

kitchen and brewery teams

for food and beverage flow Monitor service quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards Assist in staff scheduling, shift briefings, and task allocation Train and guide stewards on service standards, menu knowledge, and guest interaction Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and alcohol service regulations Handle billing, POS operations, and cash procedures as required Report operational issues and guest feedback to management

Requirements

Prior experience as a

Captain

in a restaurant, bar, or brewery Strong knowledge of

food service, beverages, and guest handling

Excellent communication and team leadership skills Ability to manage service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Basic knowledge of POS systems Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
