A Restaurant Captain, also known as a Head Waiter or Captain Waiter, is a key position in the hospitality industry. This individual is responsible for overseeing the smooth functioning of the restaurant floor, ensuring exceptional customer service, and coordinating the efforts of the front-of-house staff. The Restaurant Captain plays a pivotal role in enhancing the overall dining experience for guests. Requirements:

Responsibilities:
  • Supervision:
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of the front-of-house staff.
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient operation.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
  • Staff Training:
  • Train new staff members on service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training to enhance the skills of the service team.
  • Order Management:
  • Supervise the order-taking process and ensure accuracy in serving.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food service.
  • Quality Control:
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Problem Resolution:
  • Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with management to implement improvements based on feedback.
  • Sales and Upselling:
  • Encourage upselling and promotion of menu items to maximize revenue.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excesses to management.
