The Captain will ensure smooth guest service, team coordination, and high-quality dining standards while assisting the Restaurant Manager in daily operations.
Responsibilities:
Follow company values and set a good example for the service team.
Manage your section during the shift and ensure smooth operations.
Check table setup and maintain proper service flow.
Lead team briefings and ensure clear handover between shifts.
Take food and beverage orders correctly and ensure timely service.
Suggest special dishes and upsell items to help meet sales targets.
Handle guest complaints politely and resolve issues quickly.
Keep service records updated and share daily updates with the team.
Assist in seating guests and help with reservations when needed.
Fill in for the manager when not available.
Guide, support, and motivate the team, recommending high performers for recognition.
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience as a Captain or 2-3 years as a Steward/Trainee Captain.
Graduate or diploma in hotel/restaurant management preferred.
Strong communication and guest-handling skills.
Team leader with a positive and disciplined attitude.
Knowledge of food, beverage, and service standards.
Immediate joiners preferred.
