ob Title: Restaurant Captain

Job Summary

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for supervising the service staff, ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining smooth restaurant operations during service hours.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service*

Welcome guests and ensure they are seated comfortably*

Take orders accurately and ensure timely service*

Handle guest complaints politely and resolve issues promptly*

Ensure high standards of hospitality and customer satisfactio*

Team Supervision

Supervise waiters, stewards, and service staff during shifts*

Allocate tables and assign duties to staff*

Train new staff on service standards and SOPs*

Monitor staff grooming, punctuality, and discipline*

Operations & Coordination

Coordinate with kitchen and bar for smooth order flow*

Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion standards*

Monitor service speed during peak hours*

Ensure proper table setup as per restaurant standards*

Billing & Cash Handling

Ensure accurate billing and presentation of bills to guests*

Handle cash/card payments responsibly (if assigned)*

Verify bills before closing tables*

Hygiene & Safety

Ensure cleanliness of dining area, tables, and service stations*

Follow FSSAI hygiene and safety standards*

Ensure staff comply with hygiene and grooming policies*

Inventory & Reporting

Assist in monitoring stock of service items (cutlery, crockery, linen)*

Report breakages, shortages, or maintenance issues*

Prepare shift reports and feedback for management*

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2-4 years experience in restaurant service*

Strong communication and leadership skills*

Knowledge of food & beverage service standards*

Ability to handle guests professionally under pressure*

Basic billing system/POS knowledge*

Working Conditions

Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays*

Standing for long hours*

Fast-paced working environment*

Reporting To

Restaurant Manager / F&B Manager*

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?18,000.00 - ?28,000.00 per month
