Greet guests, show them to their tables, take food and drink orders, ensure orders are entered correctly, and check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction.
Staff supervision:
Train and supervise servers, busboys, and other dining room staff; assign tables and roles; and ensure the team is prepared and briefed on service, VIPs, and menu changes.
Operational management:
Coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely food preparation and delivery; check the cleanliness and setup of tables, side stations, and the dining area; and manage inventory for supplies.
Problem resolution:
Address and promptly resolve guest complaints, issues, and special requests, acting as a troubleshooter for any problems that arise during service.
Quality control:
Ensure all products are served to the highest standard and that cleanliness and safety regulations are met.
Billing and closing:
Handle payments, process bills accurately, and prepare end-of-shift reports.
