Managing food and beverage services: Ensuring that food and beverage service runs smoothly, and that inventory is maintained
Ensuring cleanliness: Keeping the dining areas clean and organized
Training staff: Training servers at all levels
Communicating with staff: Briefing staff on menu items, specials, and food that's sold out
Managing the dining experience: Timing dishes to maximize the dining experience
Leading by example: Leading the team and setting a good example
Recommending food and beverage: Recommending food and beverage service standards
Organizing duty rosters: Organizing the duty roster of service staff
Cost control: Controlling costs
Menu planning: Planning the menu
Candidates having a diploma or degree in hospitality may be a plus. The preferred qualities in a candidate are bartending knowledge, good communication skills and a problem-solving attitude.*
