General Position Summary:
The Resource Management (RM) Senior Manager - Firmwide has overall responsibility for the people, systems,
processes and tools to plan, schedule, and deploy our resources in the most efficient way possible to meet the
business' objectives with a focus on quality and safety. Their team will track employee productivity, performance, and
job progress and use that data to make informed resourcing decisions. This innovative and mindful leader will lead our
RM team and influence the way we balance needs and capacity as we deliver the West to our clients. This firmwide
role will promote communication, collaboration, engagement across the RM team, represent as the scheduling subject
matter expert with firm leaders, and coordinate across all People Team functions to promote a consistent and positive
employee experience.
Responsibilities:
Design and manage RM organizational structure that creates a cohesive team of trusted business advisors with a
One Firm mentality of sharing resources to balance needs, capacity, and talent development
Lead the firm's "People Cornerstone" strategy for RM by serving as the firmwide subject matter expert on
RM/scheduling and regularly connecting with firm leaders in tax, assurance, regions, and industry groups
Influence firmwide leaders on matters related to scheduling people, process, and tools with end goal of sharing
resources to balance needs and capacity, and continuing emphasis on innovation and collaboration
Oversee RM systems/tools and process in addition to designing metrics and benchmarks for scheduling
Connect and collaborate with People Team leaders and functional areas to promote a consistent, positive
employee experience
Collaborate with Finance to develop firmwide and regional forecasts, budgets and to manage capacity and
demand information and engagement economics in conjunction with the Regional RM leaders
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Human Resources, business, or a related field
preferred
Minimum of 10 years of resource management experience or related experience in a complex organization
required; including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an
inclusive culture; experience in public accounting or professional services environment preferred
Strong working knowledge of scheduling process and systems/tools
Strong executive presence and demonstrated leadership skills, good judgment, and ability to effectively interface
with employees and leaders at all levels within the firm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to stakeholders,
leaders, and partners
Ability to collaborate and work effectively across functions and teams while building trusted relationships and
positively influencing others
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically, identify creative solutions, and
resolve conflicts
Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with discretion
Demonstrated understanding of project economics such as budgeting, leverage ratios and/or profitability
* Ability to travel as needed, up to 25% depending on season or projects
