- Project Coordinator for an NGO serving families having children with Neurodevelopmental disorders

Role Purpose



The Coordinator will act as the central point of contact at the Resource Centre. They will have to identify and meet needy families, coordinate screening activities, maintain case records, and ensure timely referrals to the right facilities and professionals. The role requires strong social skills, communication, and the ability to liaise between families, specialists, and community resources.

Key Responsibilities



1. Case Intake & Coordination



Serve as the first point of contact for families Weekly/Twice a week visits and meeting parents/authorities in schools, centers etc.

Collect background information and do documentation on arrival.

Schedule initial assessments with the Psychologist / Counsellor.

Maintain updated case files and ensure confidentiality.

2. Referral Management



Maintain an up-to-date

directory of referral facilities

(therapists, hospitals, schools, government schemes).

Guide families to appropriate services based on psychologist's screening results.

Track referrals and follow up on progress with families.

3. Networking & Partnerships



Build and maintain partnerships with hospitals, therapy centers, schools, NGOs, and government offices.

4. Training & Awareness Support



Maintain training schedules, materials, and attendance records.

Help coordinate awareness events for parents, teachers, and volunteers.

5. Administration & Reporting



Compile monthly and quarterly activity reports for the Board.

Maintain case outcomes and feedback.

Ensure compliance with policies, safeguarding, and confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills



Essential:



Graduate degree in

Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field

.

Minimum 2-3 years' experience in

case management, coordination, or social sector roles



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage records, databases, and basic office tools (Excel, Word).

Empathy, patience, and cultural sensitivity in working with families.

Desirable:



Knowledge of autism and neurodiverse conditions.

Experience working with NGOs, special schools, or disability programs.

Familiarity with local government schemes for disability support.
