Accounts Manager for - Resort & Restaurant Experience
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Accounts Manager
to oversee and manage the financial operations of our resort and restaurant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, financial reporting, auditing, cost control, and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Maintain accurate financial records for the resort and restaurant operations.
Monitor income and expenditures across all departments.
Handle bank reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and journal entries.
Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Manage vendor payments and customer invoicing.
Track receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure timely payment of taxes, utility bills, and operational expenses.
Payroll & Statutory Compliance:
Oversee payroll processing, gratuity, PF, ESI, and other statutory deductions.
Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including GST, TDS, and income tax.
Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits.
Cost Control & Inventory Accounting:
Collaborate with procurement and kitchen/store teams to monitor food & beverage costs.
Track and analyse inventory and wastage.
Recommend cost control strategies and monitor operational efficiency.
Coordination & Support:
Liaise with resort and restaurant department heads for financial planning.
Assist management in financial decision-making and profitability analysis.
Provide financial insights and MIS reports to the General Manager/Owners.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of experience in hospitality industry finance/accounts.
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, QuickBooks, or similar).
Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Work Conditions:
Based on-site at the resort/restaurant.
Will report directly to the General Manager or Managing Director.
Must be available for audits, inspections, and end-of-month closings.
