Role OverviewThe Senior Sales Engineer - Residential will be responsible for driving business growth in the residential segment by managing end-to-end sales activities. This role involves lead generation, technical solutioning, site visits, proposal development, negotiations, and deal closure across residential projects.The position is target-driven and requires strong technical knowledge along with the ability to engage with builders, consultants, contractors, and developers.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development and Sales- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the residential market- Generate leads through builders, architects, consultants, developers, and homeowners- Manage the complete sales cycle from enquiry to order closure- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targetsTechnical Sales and Site Engagement- Conduct site visits to understand project requirements- Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations- Propose suitable technical solutions aligned with customer needsCoordination and Solution Development- Work closely with design, application, and project teams to develop customized solutions- Prepare technical proposals, BOQs, and commercial offers- Support order execution and handover to project teamsRelationship Management and Market Intelligence- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders- Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements- Strengthen brand presence in the residential segmentReporting and CRM- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and closures in CRM- Submit regular sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates to management- Ensure compliance with company sales processes and policiesScope Clarification- This is a direct sales and business generation role- The role carries individual sales targets and revenue responsibility- Regular field work and local travel are requiredCandidate Profile- 5-7 years of experience in technical B2B/B2C residential sales- Strong exposure to residential projects and site-based selling- Ability to independently handle sales closure and client negotiations- Comfortable working in a target-driven environmentQualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Civil preferred)- Strong understanding of residential construction and building systems- Familiarity with the Mumbai residential real estate ecosystemSkills Required- Technical sales and solution-selling capability- Strong communication and negotiation skills- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools- Ability to work independently and collaborativelyPreferred Experience- Exposure to HVAC systems, smart home solutions, lighting systems, building automation, or construction materials- Established network with builders, developers, MEP consultants, and contractors in Mumbai (ref:updazz.com)
