Conduct initial assessments and examinations of patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, prescribing medications, treatments, and therapies as necessary.
Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans and interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and code blue situations, providing advanced life support and resuscitation as required.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to coordinate patient care and facilitate multidisciplinary rounds.
Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information, education, and emotional support regarding medical conditions, treatment options, and prognosis.
Document all patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Adhere to established protocols, policies, and procedures for patient care, infection control, medication management, and safety standards.
Participate in departmental meetings, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and clinical outcomes.
