A Resident Medical Officer (RMO) is a healthcare professional responsible for providing medical care to patients in a hospital setting They work under the supervision of a senior physician and are responsible for the initial assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients The RMO is responsible for documenting patient information, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and managing patient care plans In addition, they must communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals, and be able to make decisions in emergency situations A RMO must have a medical degree, be licensed to practice medicine, and have completed a period of supervised clinical training Good organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure, are also important qualities for this role
