Job Description

:
Manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal patients
Conduct normal vaginal deliveries and assist in operative deliveries
Monitor labor progress and fetal well-being
Manage obstetric emergencies such as:
Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH)
Eclampsia
Preterm labor
Obstructed labor (under supervision)
Assist in cesarean sections and high-risk obstetric cases
Provide postnatal care and patient counseling
Clinical Duties - Gynecology
Manage gynecological OPD and ward patients
Assist in gynecological surgeries (elective and emergency)
Pre-operative evaluation and post-operative management
Assist in procedures such as:
D&C / D&E
MTP
Hysteroscopy / Laparoscopy (as applicable)
Emergency & On-call Responsibilities
Handle obstetric and gynecological emergencies during duty hours
Perform night duties, on-call shifts, and emergency coverage
Coordinate with anesthesia, pediatrics, blood bank, and ICU teams
Documentation & Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate patient records and case sheets
Ensure informed consent and proper documentation
Follow hospital policies, protocols, and infection control guidelines
Communication & Patient Care
Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, procedures, and treatment
Ensure compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered care
Skills & Competencies
Ability to manage obstetric emergencies
Sound clinical judgment and decision-making
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to work in shifts and emergencies

Skills Required
