Position:

RMO (Resident Medical Officer) - NICU/PICU

Department:

Pediatrics

Reports to:

Pediatric Consultant

Key Responsibilities:



Provide round-the-clock medical care to neonates and pediatric critical care patients. Perform clinical assessment, monitor vitals, and manage daily progress of NICU/PICU patients. Assist consultants in procedures such as intubation, line insertion, resuscitation, etc. Ensure timely documentation of treatment records, progress notes, and medication charts. Respond to emergencies promptly and follow neonatal and pediatric emergency protocols. Coordinate with nursing staff for smooth patient care and ensure adherence to SOPs. Monitor ventilators, CPAP, infusion pumps, and other ICU equipment. Ensure infection control practices and maintain hygiene standards in NICU/PICU. Counsel parents regarding patient condition as per consultant instructions. Participate in rounds, audits, handovers, and maintain proper communication with team. Ensure accurate reporting of critical incidents and follow escalation protocols.

Qualification & Skills:



MBBS with valid registration (additional Neonatal/Pediatric training preferred). Experience in NICU/PICU/critical care settings desirable. Good clinical judgment, emergency management skills, and ability to handle critical cases. Strong communication skills and teamwork approach. Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
