Job Description

The Resident Housekeeping Assistant is a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Beachside Community Centre. Working closely with the management team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, welcoming, and organized environment for guests, members, and staff. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic, community-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cleaning & Maintenance

Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and bathrooms. Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and other amenities as needed. Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the management team promptly.

2. Guest Services

Assist with guest check-ins and provide information about the community center and its amenities. Respond to guest inquiries and resolve minor issues to ensure a positive experience. Provide a friendly and professional presence to make guests feel at home.

3. Event Support

Help prepare rooms and facilities for events, workshops, and meetings. Clean and reset spaces after events, ensuring they are ready for future use. Collaborate with other staff to ensure event logistics run smoothly.

4. Community Engagement

Act as a representative of the community center, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. Participate in community activities and encourage engagement among guests and members. Support the center's mission to promote a strong sense of belonging.

Qualifications & SkillsEssential:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Warm, approachable demeanor and strong communication skills. Flexibility to adapt to a varied schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred:

Previous experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or customer service. Basic understanding of safety and hygiene practices. Passion for community-based work and hospitality.
