Job Summary:
We are looking for a
Resident Buyer - Jewellery
who will play a critical role in sourcing, curating, and delivering jewellery collections tailored for live
TV shopping, ecommerce platforms, and social commerce.
The role requires strong trend awareness, vendor engagement, and commercial acumen to ensure innovative yet profitable product offerings. The
Resident Buyer
will work closely with
design, merchandising, and marketing teams
to create compelling product assortments that resonate with diverse customer segments.
Core Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and select jewellery collections aligned with customer preferences, seasonal trends, and channel strategy
Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with vendors to achieve target margins and business objectives
Analyze sales, inventory, and customer insights to plan assortments and make reordering or markdown decisions
Collaborate with product development, design, and quality assurance to ensure compliance with style, quality, and pricing standards
Coordinate product storytelling and presentation with merchandising, marketing, and live show teams to maximize on-air and online impact
Own purchase order and open-to-buy processes, ensuring accurate planning and timely product availability
Monitor product and vendor performance, recommending strategic adjustments to maximize profitability and minimize risk
Explore global market trends to identify innovative jewellery designs and new vendor partnerships.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong knowledge of jewellery categories (precious, semi-precious, fashion jewellery) and consumer buying behavior
Familiarity with retail math concepts: margins, costing, open-to-buy, KPIs, and markdown strategies
Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills
Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools; experience with ERP or merchandising systems preferred
