The Reservations Agent manages the hotel's booking system, coordinating guest reservations, cancellations, and amendments to optimize occupancy and maximize revenue while ensuring excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and respond to guest inquiries via phone, email, and online portals promptly and professionally.
Manage and update room availability and rates across multiple platforms in real-time using property management and channel management systems.
Confirm bookings, modify reservations, handle cancellations, and manage special guest requests efficiently.
Promote hotel packages, upsell additional services, and process payments related to reservations.
Liaise with front desk, housekeeping, and sales departments to ensure smooth guest arrival and stay.
Monitor booking trends, generate reports on occupancy and revenue metrics for management review.
Maintain accurate and organized booking records in compliance with company policies.
Troubleshoot booking conflicts and resolve issues, such as overbooking or double reservations, with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
Employer Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma; professional certifications in hospitality or travel preferred.
Previous experience in hotel/reservation roles with hospitality customer service aptitude.
Strong multitasking and time-management skills combined with attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and reservation management software.
Excellent communication skills and ability to handle pressure during peak booking periods.
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends and holidays.
