Job Description

Position Summary



The Reservation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the reservations department to ensure maximum room revenue, efficiency, accuracy, and guest satisfaction. The role involves supervising the reservations team, managing room inventory, handling VIP and group bookings, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and ensuring adherence to hotel policies and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities1. Reservation Operations



Supervise, train, and support the reservations team to ensure smooth and efficient department functioning.

Manage daily reservations, amendments, cancellations, and special requests while ensuring accuracy.

Monitor room availability, rate codes, and booking patterns to optimize occupancy and revenue.

Ensure all reservations are input accurately in PMS/CRS systems.

2. Revenue & Inventory Management



Coordinate with the Revenue Manager on forecasting, pricing strategies, and inventory control.

Monitor no-shows, overbooking levels, and booking pace; implement corrective actions when required.

Ensure rate parity across all distribution channels.

3. Guest Relations & Service



Handle complex booking queries, VIP reservations, corporate accounts, and long-stay inquiries.

Maintain excellent communication with guests, travel partners, and internal departments.

Resolve booking-related guest concerns promptly and professionally.

4. Reporting & Compliance



Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reservation reports as required.

Ensure compliance with hotel policies, SOPs, and brand standards.

Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and correspondence.

5. Team Leadership



Train new team members on reservation procedures, systems, upselling techniques, and service standards.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance productivity.

Plan work schedules and ensure adequate staffing at all times.

RequirementsEducation & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management or a related field preferred.

Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in hotel reservations, with at least

1-2 years in a supervisory role

in a 4/5-star property.

Skills & Competencies



Strong knowledge of PMS/CRS systems (Opera, IDS, or equivalent).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Effective leadership and team management abilities.

Good understanding of revenue management principles.

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
