The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with airline booking systems (GDS such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre) and a strong understanding of domestic and international ticketing processes. This role requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to manage reservations efficiently, and stay updated on fare rules and travel regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle flight bookings, re-issuances, cancellations, and refunds (domestic & international).
Manage reservations for individual and group travelers.
Use Global Distribution Systems (Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre) to issue and modify tickets.
Communicate fare details, routing, and cancellation policies to customers.
Ensure accuracy in passenger data entry and ticketing.
Coordinate with airlines for special requests, group bookings, and fare negotiations.
Provide prompt support for client inquiries via phone, email, or walk-ins.
Maintain and update booking logs and reports regularly.
Stay updated with airline policies, travel regulations, and GDS updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum
2 years of experience
in ticketing and reservations (B2C/B2B).
Proficiency in using
GDS systems
(Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Customer-focused with problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of international destinations, airline fare structures, and visa procedures is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional but Desirable):
Experience in handling group and corporate travel.
Certification in travel/tourism or ticketing courses.
Prior experience with OTA or travel agency platforms.
