Advertisement for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under the ICMR-funded project at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)

in the research project funded by ICMR, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.

Title of the Research Project:

Noninvasive and in situ forming peptide-polymer hydrogel containing CPP decorated nanoparticles/photoresponsive agents with crystallin aggregate disaggregating propensity for potential cataract therapy

Nature of the Project:

The computational & bio-informatic part of the project will be conducted in strong collaboration with the experimental counterparts.

Qualifications

1. First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees (Computational Biology/Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Bio-Sciences/Bioinformatics) and also qualified in national level eligibility tests (e.g. NET/GATE/GPT/DST INSPIRE)

Desirable Experience:

Research experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and Bioinformatics, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, programming knowledge in Phyton, and experience in handling big data and Data Analysis, Density Functional Theory (DFT)

Age limit:

Must not be over 35 years as on

, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

Fellowship:

Rs 56,000/- per month + HRA as applicable

Mode of Interview: Hybrid mode (online & offline)

Duration:

Initially six months and may be extended till the project end (i.e. 11.02.2028) based on the candidate's performance and availability of funds.

General Terms and Conditions:

? The position is purely on a temporary basis and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds for a maximum of three years/till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

The position is co-terminus with the project
